Daily Dose: “Ah Ah” by “Tsuchiya Anna” (Shinichi Osawa Remix)
Staying on the japanese theme another one of my favortite artists from across the water is Shinichi Osawa. He’s been around for a while and as well as working on his own music is a well respected remixer. The best of his remixes have been collated and released as an album called Tepan Yaki.
From that release his remix of Ah Ah by Tsunchiya Anna is one I really like.
To be honest I love Shinichis work but I have a terrible time trying to mix his music in with others, he tends to focus on the mids and highs leaving the song pretty crowded with few breaks or drops to use as transition points. The transition to the next song after a Shinichi song is often pretty jarring to the ears so I rarely play him out live. But the music is still great to listen to on its own!
