WHO IS STRUBOSKOP?
▲ STRUBOSKOP is a group consisting of three DJs and producers, born in Vorarlberg, who now live in Vienna and Innsbruck (Austria):
Techtrix, Zorillah and Simeks.
▲ Since 2006 they’ve been throwing parties in Austria and different locations in Vienna, Munich and Switzerland. They’ve supported acts like Kosheen (UK), Meat Katie /UK), Telepathé (US), Moonbootica (GER), Maral Salmassi (GER), Kurtis Blow (US), Sugarhill Gang (US) and others. Struboskop span a wide variety of styles – from Disco
(with their notorious party Disco Heat!) to HipHop to House to Breaks and all the stuff that keeps people moving on the dancefloor.
▲ 2009 they released their first vinyl single “Lemon Juice“ and frequently do remixes for local and international acts. Recently they got signed by the UK/GER Label Envloop Records and will release their next EP feat. Violetta Parisini (Universal Rec.) in November 2010.
▲ Their tracks have been played by Round Table Knights (Made To Play, CH). Smalltown DJs (CAN), Top Billin (FIN), Functionist & Beware (UNLTD, AUT) and others.
MEMBERS:
▲ Zorillah started as a D’n'B and Breakbeat-DJ until he began to get deeper and deeper into electronic dance music and its ancestors, from Funk to Disco to House Music and beyond, making music with everything he can get his hands on, as long as it has a funky groove to make you move.
▲ Techtrix started DJing because he was fascinated by hiphop DJs doin their tricks and stuff, he become a scratchin hiphop DJ. Always with the Funk and the orgin of hiphop music in his mind, he started to play electronic music. His style is a club action, club rappin, miami bass, ghetto style always combined with the roots of electronic dance music: Disco and real fonkey basslines.
▲ Simeks started as a house dj in 2005. After realizing, there is more to music than house, he quickly spread out to various musical styles, such as breaks, electro, techno, nujazz. Most recently he started mixing disco and nudisco.
